# fadeUpDuration

## Summary

The time that the fade effect will take to fade lines in.

public float fadeUpDuration = 0.25f;
```

## Remarks

This value is only used when [useFadeEffect](/3.1/api/csharp/yarn.unity/yarn.unity.linepresenter/yarn.unity.linepresenter.usefadeeffect.md) is `true` .
